The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, has affirmed that the party will not accept any form of intimidation around the upcoming December elections.
Speaking at a rally in Obuasi on Wednesday during the Ashanti Regional campaign tour of NDC’s vice-presidential candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Mr. Nana Kwasi stated that the party has a strong plan to safeguard its votes in the 2024 elections.
He encouraged NDC members and supporters to come out in large numbers on Election Day to vote for NDC presidential candidate Mr. John Dramani Mahama and the party’s parliamentary candidates.
Addressing regional development issues, Mr. Nana Kwasi emphasized that the next NDC government plans to work with traditional leaders to advance development in the Ashanti Region. He highlighted that women’s empowerment is also a priority for the NDC, noting that these initiatives for the region can only be achieved if its residents vote for the party.
He urged voters to cast their ballots for Mr. Mahama to help restore the nation, create job opportunities for the youth, and empower women financially through the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
