Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah Congratulates All MMDCES For Their Nomination In The Upper West Region
Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah, Member of Parliament for Jirapa Constituency, has extended his warmest congratulations to the newly nominated Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Upper West Region.
The congratulations comes after President John Dramani nominated the MMDCES for five regions namely Upper West, Upper East, Central, Northern and Western region.
However, some few nominations were some for Bono East, Bono Region and Asante.
The President’s nomination is in accordance with article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20 (1) of the local Governance Act, 2016 ( Act 936) as amended.
In an interview with premiernewsgh.com, Hon. Dapilah reiterated his commitment to fostering collaboration and support among local leaders.
Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah recognizes the MMDCEs’ dedication to serving Ghanaians, highlighting their crucial role in driving local development and progress.
According to the lawmaker, their leadership will shape the future of their Assemblies and significantly impact the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) prospects in the 2028 elections.
Hon. Dapilah wishes the newly nominated MMDCEs the best of luck as they await confirmation from their respective Assemblies.
As a seasoned politician and former District Chief Executive, Hon. Dapilah understands the importance of effective leadership and collaboration in local governance.
He also took the opportunity to congratulate the nominee for his own Constituency, Hon. Peter N.N.To-ang, Constituency Secretary for his nomination.
His congratulations to the MMDCEs reflect his commitment to supporting initiatives that benefit the people of the Upper West Region. With the NDC having swept all 11 constituency seats in the region during the 2024 general elections, Hon. Dapilah’s gesture may also be seen as a strategic move to strengthen party unity and support ahead of future electoral contests.
