Jirapa: Terrible Accident Claims Two Live
A fatal accident involving two motorists has claimed the lives of two young people from Jirapa.
The incident occurred today, sunday, September 14, 2025, between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. near the Ghana Immigration Barrier at Moyiri.
Both victims, believed to be in their youthful ages, reportedly died on the spot.
Because of the severity of their injuries, their bodies were immediately buried, and traditional mourning has begun.
The male victim is being mourned at Wuoyiri where he hailed from, while the female victim is also being mourned at Zakpaayiri, her community.
Although the exact cause of the accident is not yet known, eyewitnesses suspect overspeeding may have been a factor, especially since the crash happened close to the immigration barrier.
Some residents who visited the accident scene have however expressed great disappointment with the Ghana Ambulance Service. They claim the ambulance service visited the scene but refused to convey the victims to the nearest hospital, insisting that ambulances do not transport dead bodies.
