There is overwhelming joy and excitement among the people of Nyenvaare, Tuggo, and Kane following the arrival of contractors to commence work on connecting the communities to the national electricity grid, thanks to the efforts of the Member of Parliament for the Jirapa Constituency, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah.

This development comes as a huge relief to the beneficiary communities, which have lived without electricity for many years despite the extension of power to several parts of Northern Ghana.

The commencement of work is a clear fulfillment of Hon. Dapilah’s promise to ensure that communities within the constituency that are still without electricity are gradually connected to the national grid.

This achievement further demonstrates the MP’s commitment to delivering on his promises and improving the living conditions of his people. Residents of the beneficiary communities could not hide their excitement as work is set to begin.

Speaking in an interview with Premiernewsgh.com, Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah explained that Nyenvaare, Tuggo, and Kane are not the only communities facing challenges with access to electricity, as several others are equally affected. He assured residents that measures have been put in place to address the situation systematically.

He emphasized the important role electricity plays in the socioeconomic development of every community and noted that access to power should never be underestimated.

Hon. Dapilah also appealed for patience from communities yet to benefit from the electrification project, assuring them that they have not been left out and would be attended to in due course.

Indeed, electricity remains the backbone of every modern community because of the numerous benefits it provides. From powering household appliances to supporting commercial and business activities, electricity boosts economic growth and improves living standards.

The extension of electricity to these communities will also support health facilities by powering medical equipment and enhancing emergency healthcare delivery.

Additionally, the academic performance of schoolchildren is expected to improve significantly, as students will now have access to reliable lighting for night studies.

Security within the communities is also likely to improve, since darkness, which often provides cover for criminal activities, will be reduced through the installation of streetlights at strategic locations.

Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah continues to leave no stone unturned in his quest to promote development across the Jirapa Constituency.

Earlier in 2025, the community of Ping was successfully connected to the national grid, and now Nyenvaare, Tuggo, and Kane are next in line. More communities are expected to benefit from similar interventions in the near future.

The beneficiary communities have expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Dapilah and encouraged him to continue his good works for the people of Jirapa.
